Mercedes Gonzalez de la Rocha is a Mexican anthropologist who is a senior researcher at CIESAS del Occidente in Guadalajara. She is author of numerous books and articles, including The Resources of Poverty: Women and Survival in a Mexican City and Private Adjustments: household responses to the eriosion of work.
