Tani Adams - "How Does Chronic Violence Affect Human Development, Social Relations, and the Practice of Citizenship in Latin America?"

Tani Adams is an independent consultant in Washington, DC, and has been coordinating the Latin American Working Group on Chronic Violence at the Myrna Mack Foundation in Guatemala. She has also been a Fellow and consultant with the Woodrow Wilson Foundation and a Visiting Scholar at George Mason University. She authored the Wilson Center report, "Chronic Violence and Its Reproduction: Perverse Trends in Social Relations, Citizenship, and Democracy in Latin America." Adams was Executive Director of CIRMA (Centro de Investigaciones Regionales de Mesoamérica) in Guatemala from 1996-2007.
