Congratulations to:
Nicole Angotti, who received a 2008 National Science Foundation Dissertation Improvement Grant, and a 2008 Doug Forbes Research Award from the Population Research Center at the University of Texas at Austin, for her project "Testing
Differences: The Cultural Diffusion of Western HIV Testing Norms in Sub-Saharan Africa";
Jeremy Uecker, who received a University Continuing Fellowship for 2009-10;
Nicolette Manglos, who received a Dissertation Proposal Development Fellowship from the Social Science Research Council, and an NICHD traineeship from the Population Research Center at the University of Texas at Austin for 2009-10;
Corinne Reczek, who received a University Continuing Fellowship for 2009-10, an American Association of University Women Dissertation Fellowship for 2009-10, and a 2009 Outstanding Student Paper Award from the Society of the Study of Social Problems-Family Division;
Danielle Dirks, who received a William S. Livingston Graduate Fellowship for 2009-10; and
Jennifer Karas Montez, who received a 2009 Lora Romero Memorial Award for Interdisciplinary Research in Race, Ethnicity and Gender, from the Center for Women's and Gender Studies at the University of Texas at Austin.
