Graduate student receives NSF and ACIE grants for dissertation

Graduate student Erin Hofmann received an National Science Foundation dissertation improvement grant to support her fieldwork in Georgia for her project "Gender, Households, and Migration in Georgia." Hofmann also received a Title VIII Research and Language Training Grant from the American Councils for International Education to support the project. The project will use the case of Georgia to examine how social norms and socioeconomic factors shape the experience of migration for men and women.
