Dr. Debra Umberson Elected as Fellow to Gerontological Society of America

We congratulate Dr. Debra Umberson on her election as 2011 Fellow to the Gerontological Society of America. The Gerontological Society of America (GSA) is the nation's largest interdisciplinary organization devoted to the field of aging. Dr. Umberson is among elected officers chosen by GSA's membership, which consists of over 5,400 researchers, educators, and practitioners. GSA officers are responsible for matters of governance and strategic planning, and represent the Society's four membership sections, as well as its Emerging Scholar and Professional Organization. They will formally assume office during GSA's 64th Annual Scientific Meeting, which will be held from November 18 to 22, 2011, in Boston, MA.
