The Austin Summit on LGBT Families

The Austin Summit on LGBT Families takes place at The University of Texas at Austin on Friday, April 26.
The goal of the Summit is to create a venue with an aspirational tone, bringing together forward-thinking scholars doing cutting-edge research on LGBT populations and families. Panels will address research on:
- LGBT Parents and Children
- Marriage and Intimate Relationships
- Methods, Ethics, and Politics
Panels are by invitation and will be held from 8:30 am-4:30 pm in the first floor conference room of the College of Liberal Arts building.
Professor Gary Gates of the Williams Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles, will deliver his keynote address, "LGBT Parenting Research: Science in the Public Square," at noon in the Student Activity Center second floor ballroom. The keynote address is open to the public.
