Posted: October 8, 2013
Findings of the Texas Policy Evaluation Project, headed by Dr. Joseph Potter, have been submitted to federal court this week. The TPE Project is a three-year collaboration that measures the impact of state laws affecting reproductive health. Its findings indicate more than 22,200 Texas women could be prevented from obtaining an abortion in the next year if stricter state regulations go into effect Oct 29. A preliminary injunction hearing will be held Oct 21 before US District Judge Lee Yeakel in Austin.
