Course Description
The primary aim of this course is to analyze in a broad sense the past and the present of Spanish American poetry from the twenties to date, through extensive readings and explorations of selected contexts. Particular emphasis will be given to these authors: Jorge Luis Borges, Oliverio Girondo, Vicente Huidobro, Gabriela Mistral, Pablo Neruda, Nicano Parra, Octavio Paz, and Cesar Vallejo.
Grading Policy
All students are to prepare monthly assignments for class (50%) and submit a final report (50%).
