SPN f350 • Tracking Cultures: Mexico and Spain
This section of SPN 350 constitutes the study abroad portion of the interdisciplinary Tracking Cultures Program during its trip to Mexico and Spain. The course will continue to highlight important topical links presented in the spring semester with the study of history, geography, religion, art history, architecture, literature, and music. The course will also focus on the development of key writing skills pertinent to the completion of the final program report. Students will keep a daily field journal and will prepare an on-site field lecture in each country, with a written contribution to a field guide. A number of guest speakers will also present relevant topics on site. The final program report will be due at the end of the first summer session. The course is taught in Mexico and Spain.
