Course Description
This course offers Assistant Instructors guidance in the art of teaching a foreign language. The course will provide necessary theoretical and practical background that will enable instructors to use current theories about learning and teaching to develop their own repertoire of teaching techniques. Emphasis is placed on communicative language teaching, advocating a balanced approach and stressing the role of input and the need for ample opportunities for students to produce language through communicative activities.
Grading Policy
To receive a passing grade in this course, the student will be expected to complete all assignments with a grade of P and receive a grade of P in class participation. Attendance in this class is essential; three (3) class absences will result in a NO CREDIT grade.
