Course Description
This course will introduce students to the understanding of current issues in Spanish phonology from an experimental perspective.
The course will have three parts. First, we will read editorials and articles that point at state-of-the -art issues in phonology, and describe the aspects in which phonology is becoming more experimental. Secondly, we will study the main concepts of articulatory and acoustic phonetics in Spanish, and we will understand the basics of experimental design. In the last part of the course, we will read, understand, and discuss recent research articles on Spanish phonology that take an experimental perspective.
