Course Description
This course will have three parts. First, there will be an introduction to Catalan language and history. Secondly, we will read texts of contemporary Catalan writers in order to acquire reading knowledge of the language as well as their basic structures. Finally, a review of the literature on current research in Catalan phonetics and phonology will be presented with the aim to provide new questions and new data for students' future research.
Grading Policy
2 exams and 1 final paper.
