A distinguished professor at University of Campinas’s Department of Literary Theory, Professor Orna Levin is currently a visiting professor at Georgetown University. Professor Levin has published and edited numerous books and articles on nineteenth and early twentieth century literature, theatre and mass culture in Brazil. Some of her publications include: As figurações do dandi: um estudo sobre a obra de João do Rio (Ed. Unicamp, 1996); Gil Vicente. A Sibila Cassandra (Ed. Cosac & Naify 2007; co-edited with Alexandre Carneiro); and Theatro: Crônicas de Artur Azevedo 1894-1908 (Ed. Unicamp, 2009; co-edited with Larissa de Oliveira Neves and João do Rio).
