"La novela de mi vida," a novel by the Cuban author Leonardo Padura about the "unknown" works of the celebrated romantic Cuban poet Jose Maria Heredia, is more than a work of literary and historical reconstruction. It is also a meditation about dictatorship and the current situation of the island.
