The film Machuca (2004) by director Andrés Wood depicts the political history of Chile through the story of a beautiful friendship between

Furthermore, their school also serves as a metaphor of the political state that will suffer a military coup against President Salvador Allende. Everything will change: the rules, the teachers, their friendship, and the lives of the Chilean people marked by the historical date: September 11, 1973.
