I. Outstanding Fellowships

1. Brandon Baird (Linguistics): Graduate School Named Continuing Fellowship, 2013-2014, Graduate School at UT Austin.

2. Adam Coon (Literature and Culture): CMAS Dissertation Fellowship for the 2013-2014 academic year from the Center for Mexican American Studies at UT Austin.

3. Catalina Iannone (Literature and Culture): 2013-14 Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowship (FLAS) from the Center for European Studies at UT Austin, a graduate fellowship funded by the US Department of Education.

 

II.  Research Grants:

 

External Research Grants:

 1. Brandon Baird (Linguistics): SBE Doctoral Dissertation Research Improvement Grant #1322179 from the National Science Foundation (NSF); financial support for traveling to the field, purchasing the equipment needed to perform the dissertation research in the field and for the compensation of research assistants. 

 

UT Research Grants:

 2. Adam Coon (Literature and Culture): an E.D. Farmer International Fellowship for research in Mexico during Summer 2013, a research grant from The Mexican Center of the Teresa Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies (LLILAS).

3. Matthew Hill (Literature and Culture): an E.D. Farmer International Fellowship for research in Mexico during Summer 2013, a research grant from The Mexican Center of the Teresa Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies (LLILAS).

4. Christina I. McCoy (Literature and Culture): a research grant from the Medieval Studies Program at UT.

5. Francis Watlington (Literature and Culture): 2013-2014 Cuban Heritage Collection Research Fellowship to conduct research on his dissertation topic, Cuban existentialist poetics, in the Cuban Heritage Collection at the University of Miami Libraries.
