Biography
PhD Candidate.
My dissertation project examines the rhetoric employed by Catholics and the Catholic Church during the 19th Century as the most important epistemological discourse in the construction of Mexican feminine subjectivity. My research covers documents and newspapers in archives, churches, convents, and private collections in Mexico and the United States.
Interests
Catholic texts and periodical publications, Nineteenth Century Mexican Literature, Feminism and Gender studies, construction of feminine subjectivity, female representation, rhetoric of virtue and charity.
