Vergil's Birthday Celebration and Reading

"Vergil's Birthday and Recitations (Dies Natalis Recitatioque Vergilii)."

Oct. 15 is the birthdate of Rome's most famous poet - Vergil. Celebrate this day as the Department of Classics and Eta Sigma Phi present "Vergil's Birthday and Recitations (Dies Natalis Recitatioque Vergilii)." To mark the occasion sign up to participate in a poetry recitation contest in Vergil's honor. Choose 10-11 lines from any work of Vergil, memorize these lines and come prepared to recite them in front of a panel of faculty judges at 3 p.m. Those not interested in reciting poetry are invited to watch and listen to poetry while enjoying birthday cake.
