Poetry Readings

Taylor will read both from his first book and from newer work that will form his second collection.

Sam Taylor's first book,Body of the World (Ausable Press, 2005), was a finalist for Foreword Magazine's Book of the Year and was praised in a number of publications, including The Washington Times, Boston Review, Meridian, Poetry International, and Virginia Quarterly Review.

An alumnus of the Michener Center for Writers at UT, he spent the past several years caretaking a remote snowed-in wilderness refuge in New Mexico before returning to Central Texas last year to hold the Dobie Paisano Fellowship.

His poems have appeared in numerous publications including AGNI, Green Mountains Review, Meridian, Crab Orchard Review, Mid-American Review, and Orion.
