English graduate students curate HRC exhibit honoring Jane Austen

Wed, April 16, 2014

"This year marks the 200th anniversary of the publication of Mansfield Park, Jane Austen’s most ambitious and controversial novel. To celebrate both the author and the cultural history behind this complex work, students in English Professor Janine Barchas’s fall 2013 graduate seminar curated two display cases relating to Austen and her culture."

Graduate English students Chienyn Chi, Dilara Cirit, Gray Hemstreet, Brooke Robb, Megan Snell, and Casey Sloan selected the objects on display in this exhibit. Visit the Harry Ransom Center's blog to learn more about this project and to get a sneak peak of some of the items on display. And be sure to head over to the HRC to see the full exhibit!
