book stack Congratulations are in order for Daniela Bini, Professor of Italian Studies and Comparative Literature. Daniela is the recipient of a Faculty Research Award (FRA) for her book project Portrait of the Artist and His Mother in XX Century Italian Culture. The FRA will free Dr. Bini from teaching responsibilities for Spring 2017. In her book Daniela examines the power exercised by the mother on the son in Mediterranean cultures, as exemplified in the works of four prominent twentieth-century creative personalities, representing different artistic genres.  Brava, Daniela!
