Guest Lecturer, Associate Professor of Romance Languages and Literatures at The University of Michigan, Alison Cornish. Delivers- "The Treasure of the Translator: Dante and Vernacularization."

Professor Cornish has published Reading Dante's Stars (Yale University Press, 2000). Along with numerous articles focusing on her interests of: Medieval and Renaissance Italian literature; Dante, science in literature, cosmology in Dante; Latin learning, vernacular forms and early translation. She has recently completed a manuscript on the practice of, and the theory about, vernacular translations in the Italian Middle Ages and Early Renaissance.
