The French and Italian Graduate Student Conference proudly announces the Fifth Annual FIGS Conference at the Department of French and Italian, The University of Texas at Austin, April 11-12, 2008.

This conference aims to evaluate various "Points of Contact" across French and Italian literature and linguistics, as well as such contact in music, film, art, and popular culture.

The Keynote speaker this year is Danielle Marx-Scouras, a professor of French at The Ohio State University.

Call for papers: deadline for submission of proposals is February 10, 2008.
