Congrats, TLTC and Carl Blyth! UT Austin awarded National Foreign Language Resource Center Status

UT's new federally-funded center will be named Center for Open Educational Resources and Language Learning (COERLL).  COERLL will build on the Texas Language Technology Center's  commitment to Open Education by disseminating the many open educational resources (OERs) developed for the Internet public (e.g., language corpora, online grammars, assessment tools, etc.).  COERLL will support projects in applied linguistics that will have a significant impact on our department as well as all foreign languages and literatures departments. In particular, COERLL will afford many opportunities for graduate students to join professor-led research and development projects.  Here is a map of the 15 NFLRCs around the country:
