Graduate Student Research: The Veselka Fellowship Winners

Research presentations by five graduate students of the Department of Geography & the Environment. Their fieldwork was done in 2010 with funds from the Robert E. Veselka Endowed Fellowship for Graduate Research Travel - and in Memory of Stephen T. Moore.  The Veselka Fellowships are intended to provide financial support for graduate field research travel. Robert E. Veselka (Ph.D. Texas Geography 1993) passed away on January 15, 1994, after a long illness. His book, The Courthouse Square in Texas, was published posthumously  by the University of Texas Press.

 

The students presenting include Steven Shannon (Mexico), Maria Jose La Rota Aguilera (Colombia), Renata Ponte (Brazil), Othoniel Vázquez Domínguez (Mexico), and Joshua Rudow (Mexico).
