Deadline Extended for Study Abroad Program in Botswana

There is still a chance to spend summer 2014 in the Kalahari! Explore the world with the Department of Geography and the Environment. Get class credit while camping in the Kalahari, doing vegetation and environmental monitoring fieldwork, and enjoying lectures and excursions in the company of lions, zebras and elephants.

 

Students will explore themes relating to human-wildlife conflicts, development-conservation conflicts, and long-term ecosystem monitoring and management.

The program will run from May 2014 to July 2014, and the application deadline has been extended to February 15, 2014

  • Meet with the professor or with a peer advisor
  • Begin investigating funding sources
  • Apply before Feb. 15th!
