5:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Verhoeven portrays the larger environment of the early 1940s in the Third Reich which provoked the students to rebel: the male students' experiences at the Russian front, the Nazi's Stalingrad military debacle, and a student riot at Munich university. He shows the underground production and the distribution of flyers which finally leads to the arrest of the Scholl siblings.
