Pi Sigma Alpha is the University's National Political Science Honor's Society. The society was founded in 1920 at the University of Texas at Austin for the purpose of bringing together students and faculty interested in the study of government and politics. Pi Sigma Alpha is a wonderful way to meet and network with different people in the department and get to know your professors outside of the classroom.

The requirements for membership are as follows:
--Government GPA of at least 3.25
--Overall UT GPA of at least 3.25
--Completion of at least 60 total hours
--Completion of at least 12 hours in Government, 6 of which must be

In addition to these requirements, there is a one time dues payment for new members of $50.00.

Majors who meet the membership requirements are encouraged to pick up an application (from the Government Advising Office) and submit the completed form and a $50.00 check (made out to Pi Sigma Alpha) to the Government Advising Office (BAT 2.102) by FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2nd at 4:00pm.
