Prof. Suzanne Marchand

Professor Suzanne Marchand teaches European intellectual history at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She is the author of two books, Down from Olympus: Archaeology and Philhellenism in Germany, 1780-1970 (Princeton, 1996) and German Orientalism in the Age of Empire: Race, Religion and Scholarship (Cambridge UP, 2009). 

She is also the co-author of Worlds Together, Worlds Apart (2002), and coeditor of several volumes. She now edits a series in global cultural and intellectual history for Palgrave Press.
