The Department of History honors Professor A.G. Hopkins, the Walter Prescott Webb Chair of History, with a conference featuring a variety of panels.

Topics range from "Economics and Imperial Expansion" to "Globalization and Decolonization in Africa."

Conference schedules will be available in Garrison Hall (GAR) 1.102 beginning at 8 a.m. Panels begin at 9 a.m. in GAR 2.128 and 0.128.

The keynote address will be presented by International History and Politics Professor Gareth Austin of The Graduate Institute in Geneva, Switzerland. It begins at 6 p.m. in GAR 0.102.

No registration required. The conference is free and open to the public.
