Tejano History Conference

A Tejano Historical Conference will be held on Friday, March 30,2012 at the State Capitol in Austin, Texas.

The conference commemorates the unveiling of the Tejano Monument on the south grounds of the Capitol.

The conference is open to the public based on seating availability.

Opening ceremonies will be held at 9:00 A.M. with break out sessions from 10:00A.M. to 3:15 P.M.

Presentations will be made by outstanding historians. Some of the topics that will be addressed include:

  • Early Colonial Texasn
  • Tejano Empresarios-Martin and Patricia DeLeon
  • Tejanas in Texas History
  • Twenty Things You Do Not Know about Texas
  • Tejanos in the 20th Century
