Toyin Falola to receive honorary doctorate from CUNY's College of Staten Island

The City University of New York's College of Staten Island and Board of Regents will confer an honorary doctorate upon Professor Toyin Falola, the Jacob and Frances Sanger Mossiker Chair in the Humanities and a University Distinguished Teaching Professor specializing in Africa and the African diaspora.

The College of Staten Island's thirty-seventh convocation will take place on May 30, 2013, on the campus's Great Lawn. Upon receiving the news of his second honorary doctorate this semester (the first was granted by Adekunle Ajasin University in Nigeria), Professor Falola remarked "I am excited, I look forward to the honor."
