James Jenkins, History graduate student, plays instrumental role in honoring Shawnee leader Tecumseh

James Jenkins, UT History graduate student, was instrumental in erecting a plaque to honor Shawnee leader Tecumseh at the place of his burial site. Tecumseh was killed in 1813 during fighting to prevent US westward expansion. He is known for his efforts at confederating all North American indigenous people.
