Ana Laura is a Government and Humanities major, with a contract on "Public Policy, Development, and Women's Rights." Her thesis is entitled "Idenitfying the BArriers Associated with Abortion Access among Latina Women in South Texas."


Congratulations to Sophia Softky, Recipient of Kathy and Philip Patman Endowed Scholarship

Sophia is currently writing her thesis for her Humanities contract on "Critical Theory." The Patman Scholarship is awarded to either a Liberal Arts Honors or Plan II student each year for outstanding work on the thesis.

Imaan Alaidroos, contract in "Women's Roles in Globalized Medicine," will attend medical school at Texas A&M. Paresh Jaini whose contract is on "Social Aspects of Health and Disease" will attend the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine at UNT. Damir Ljuboja, who studied "Socio-Philosophical Perspectives on Medicine" will participate in the New Pathways MD program at Harvard Medical School. Ana Laura Rivera, contract in "Public Policy and International Development" will teach bilingual classes in Houston with Teach for America.
