Person-environment interaction and its contribution to psychopathology, such as depression, anxiety, and alcohol use; human neuroendocrinology, molecular genetics, and social psychology.

Biography

Our research objective is to explore the psychological mechanisms underlying such clinical outcomes as alcohol use disorders, anxiety disorders, depression, and PTSD. Experiments conducted in our lab and other labs show that studying the person in the appropriate environment (person-environment interaction) is one of the crucial keys to understanding mechanism and outcome. We use techniques from human neuroendocrinology, molecular genetics, and social psychology. For more details, please go to the Clinical Neuroendocrinology Laboratory home page.
