David Crew, IHS Fellow, Professor of History, and Distinguished Teaching Professor, is the author of several works, including Germans on Welfare. From Weimar to Hitler (Oxford University Press, 1998) and Hitler and the Nazis. A History in Documents (Oxford University Press, 2005). His research interests include the history of popular culture and consumerism in twentieth-century Germany and Europe, the history and politics of memory, and the visual history of Germany in the twentieth century, with a specific focus upon photographic representations.
