Difficult Dialogues Announces New Faculty and Courses for Fall 2013
New DD course listings for Fall 2013

This Fall, Difficult Dialogues welcomes several new faculty members: Sofian Merabet (Anthropology), Naomi Paik (American Studies), Tasha Philpot (Government), and César Salgado (Spanish and Portuguese).
Professors Merabet, Paik, and Philpot, along with returning DD faculty member Rebecca Bigler (Psychology), will be teaching courses developed through the Center for Women's and Gender Studies Embrey Women's Human Rights Initiative.
Their courses are as follows:
"Gender in the Contemporary Muslim World" (Merabet)
"Gender, Migration, and Rights" (Paik)
"African-American Women and the Struggle for Political Incorporation" (Philpot)
"Media, Gender Development, and Human Rights" (Bigler)
Professor Salgado will teach "Visualizing Cuba."
They join returning faculty Suzy Seriff, who will teach "Immigration and Community Engagement," and Shannon Cavanagh, who will teach "HIV/AIDS." We look forward to a great semester!
