Course Description

LAS F355 Economics of the Arts and Cultural Policy. An exploration of the economics of cultural production and consumption in the visual and performing arts, the cultural industries, and non-profit cultural institutions such as museums and libraries, with an examination of international trade and investment in these fields and the policies applied thereto. Some attention is given the role of the creative sector in local, regional, and national development.
