Course Description
This course focuses on interviewing Latinos & Latinas of the WWII generation. Interviews will be analyzed and news stories based on those interviews will be published in the fall 2003 issue of Narratives. Students learn about oral history techniques, videotaping, WWII, U.S. Latino history, basic HTML, PowerPoint, production skills, including digitzing photos. There will be one, and possibly two optional weekend trips to conduct interviews. Interviews will be included in the U.S. Latino & Latina WWII Oral History Project, which has interviewed over 400 people nationwide.
