Course Description
This course will explore the economic and cultural forces shaping US immigrant media, i.e., newspapers and magazines, radio, TV, and digitally-produced media which target the US immigrant audience. The class will analyze historical and contemporary Latino and Asian-American media, as well as that produced for other specific target audiences, such as Iranian-Americans in Los Angeles and Haitian immigrants in Miami.
First class day policy Students must attend the first class day or make prior arrangements with the instructor.
