Course Description
This is a speaker-based workshop on international human rights law. We will read academic papers and hear them presented by their authors. Roughly half of the class weeks will involve outside speaker presentations. The others will involve a combination of UT speakers from both inside and outside the law school, discussions of background readings in human rights and international law, and class discussions of papers before they are presented. Students will be expected to write short, critical reaction papers for several of the papers presented. Intl Human Rights & Justice Workshop Application - This workshop requires a one-page statement on your interest and background in human rights, including any international law courses you have taken. Take this application to TNH 3.269 to be considered.
