LAS 381 • 21-BUSINESS IN EMERGING MARKET

Course Description

This course is designed to give students an understanding of the traditional challenges to business in developing countries as well as the new challenges of market liberalization. It will stress commonalities of different countries and regions while highlighting certain differences. Cases and readings are drawn from Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and the former East Bloc. Students do country specific research for a paper and class presentation.
