Ana Flavia Magalhaes Pinto, PhD student at State University of Campinas, will discuss research focusing on the role that literate black Brazilians played in the creation of a critical press that could unveil abuses, discuss the everyday racism, and promote legal rights of blacks citizens in Brazil.
