Ricardo Janoario, PhD Student in Social Work at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, will discuss strategies for developing inclusion policies to African descents to Higher Education in both Brazil and the U.S. He will address some of the following research questions:
- What factors determine or not the implementation of affirmative action policies for access and permanence of African descents to Higher Education in Texas?
- What is the concept of affirmative action for access and permanence of African descents to Higher Education presented by the state of Texas?
- What are the similarities, differences, and challenges identified in the implementation of affirmative action policies for access and permanence of African descents to Higher Education between Brazil and the U.S.?
