Lecture: "Campus, Comunidad, y Cuenca: Sustainable Development for Mexico's Presa de Guadalupe Watershed"

The in the mountains to the northwest of Mexico City, the Presa de Guadalupe watershed provide water to, and cleans the air of, Mexico's most populous metropolitan area. Yet the health and sustainability of this critical watershed is at risk.

Faculty of the Universidad Albert Einstein, along with faculty and graduate students from The University of Texas at Austin, will present findings from their summer and fall fieldwork in the watershed, and their proposals for community-based action research to re-think the patterns, practices, and relationships linking land, water, and people in the watershed. Forum participants will engage the speakers in critical reflection on the design of the next phase of field research in this collaborative effort between UT and UAE to connect campus, community, and cuenca.
