Dr. Joseph Straubhaar, Department of Radio-Television-Film, presents "a comprehensive account of television production, distribution and reception in Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking Latin American countries, showing how Mexican and Brazilian programs have dominated in the region, and placing regional output in the context of the global television industry.
Joseph D. Straubhaar is Amon G. Carter Centennial Professor of Communications at the University of Texas at Austin, USA. He is author of World Television: From Global to Local, co-editor of Media Now, and is on the editorial boards of several journals, including Latin American Journal of Media Studies." —Macmillan
