Workshop: "Strategies to Avoid Stereotypes"
Thu, March 6, 2014 • 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM • CLA 1.302D
Sebastián Hacher, journalist for Revista Anfibia, has written extensively about poverty, informal markets, marginality and crime. One of the most difficult challenges writers face when describing these phenomena is avoiding the use of common stereotypes of race, masculinity, femininity, and even the anesthetization of certain uses of violence, for example, through the acceptance of gender violence.

Registration is required. To register, e-mail Gabriela Polit by February 28.
