Symposium: "Latin@ Performance"
Sun, April 13, 2014 • various locations
This two-day event will feature local and national Latin@ scholars, artists, activists, teachers, students, and community members engaging with the current presence, histories, and futures of Latin@ performances in the United States. Activities across the weekend will explore questions such as: What are some of the attributes of Latin@ performance in the US? What are its genealogies? Where are the spaces and places of Latin@ performance? Who are its audiences? How does Latin@ performance engage with and exist outside of Euro-American theatre paradigms? How can protests be defined as performance and performance as protest.
