In 2009–2010 the institute launched the LLILAS Faculty Book Talks to showcase the cutting-edge work in Latin American Studies being done by faculty affiliates across campus, and particularly all the excellent books produced each year by LLILAS faculty. Each semester a few faculty members, who are selected to reflect the broad and comprehensive strength in Latin American Studies at UT in numerous disciplines and fields, will discuss their recently published books.
