In Memoriam: Gibbs Milliken, 1935–2007

UT art professor Gibbs Milliken, a longtime associate of LLILAS who passed away in November, is profiled in the March 2008 issue of Texas Parks and Wildlife magazine by his longtime colleague John Jefferson.

Professor Milliken, who taught courses in art and photography, was affectionately known as Indiana Jones for his khaki style of dress and the many adventurous trips he led to the Amazon. A journalist, public speaker, and authority on South American cultures, Professor Milliken was also a contributing editor to the magazine.
